The mission is to keep wine approachable, expressive, and never too serious - because there is and always has been a Y for every Why. This enticing and youthful Merlot will light up the room with its jovial presence. Fresh and bright, it displays fresh plum, mulberry and violet aromatics with beautiful, long tannins. Pairs perfectly with cheesy pasta or a hamburger with the lot.

The nose is abundant with vibrant red fruits supported by subtle hints of French Oak. On the palate, well balanced tannins are intertwined with flavours of black cherries, satsuma plums and mulberries. This all leads to a wine which is full bodied in style with a plush mouthfeel and great length of flavour.

On the nose, aromas of rich dark fruits fill the glass, supported by a hint of black pepper and winter spice. A generous palate with characters of black cherry and dark chocolate. All of this is supported by opulent, mouth filling tannins which lead to a long finish and plush mouthfeel.

This elegantly structured Pinot Noir from Marlborough's southern Awatere Valley displays aromatic layers of red fruit and spicy florals that lead to mouth-filling flavours of cherry, plum and finely integrated French oak. Balanced with soft, silky tannins, this wine has a delightfully long and lingering smooth finish.

Black fruit and dark plum aromas seamlessly blend with subtle spicy notes in this smooth and silky Hawke's Bay Merlot. On the palate flavours of blackberry, cassis and hints of cocoa are balanced with fine tannins leading to a dry and richly textured finish.

The Homage is a beautifully aromatic wine with interwoven berry purity oak sophistication. A floral, scented nose initially dominates with brambly, blackberry & licorice aromatics sitting in the background. Intense and concentrated in the mouth with fine-grained tannins providing a powerful, yet silky texture. Balanced acidity & supportive oak ensure the wine remains vibrant, focused, & supple on a palate distinguished by exceptional length of flavour & a lingering spicy finish.

Bramble, spice and wild herb aromatics sit gently on the nose, then lead to an elegant finely driven mouthfeel, showing poise, freshness and a lingering persistent finish.

Velluto Rosso Cask Wine Red. A sweet, soft red wine, made from a blend of red grape varieties. Best served at room temperature, either on its own or with food.

Delightfully fragrant with sweet cherry, florals and subtle spice aromas, combining with a silky smooth palate and lovely fruit sweetness. This fresh and vibrant pinot noir sings Central Otago as clearly as the Welcome Swallow's twittering, chattering call.

Rich and ripe flavours of blackberry and dark cherry, flowing through restrained hints of French oak. The finish is long, with soft tannins and undertones of spice.

This magnificent Shiraz is named after Robert Strangeways Wigley, a noted South Australian eccentric and state cricketer who established Wirra Wirra back in 1894. This is a flagship Shiraz that befits McLaren Vale's reputation as a first class producer of this varietal and home to some of the oldest shiraz vines in the world.

The ¾ tonne Wirra Wirra bell that sits proudly atop their cellars is rung to announce the start and finish of each vintage in McLaren Vale and for other suitable celebrations. For generations it rung out thrice daily from the Jesuit Church at Norwood, South Australia at 6am, midday and 6pm, calling the faithful to joyful prayer. In honour of that tradition, the name 'The Vintage Bell' is reserved for only exceptional parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon which are selected and vinified at Wirra Wirra.
